The Promises of God
You are never alone
'And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’ Matt 28 verse 20
You are loved
'For great is your love toward me; you have delivered me from the depths of the grave.' Psalm 86 verse 13
You are forgiven & healed
‘Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits - who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.' Psalm 103 verses 1-5
You are saved - a gift from God
'For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.' Ephesians 2 verse 8-9
You are honoured
‘Since you are precious and honoured in my sight, and because I love you, I will give men in exchange for you, and people in exchange for your life. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’ Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth - everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.’ Isaiah 43 verse 4 - 7
You are a child of Father God
‘Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God - children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.’ John 1 verse 12 - 13
‘How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.’ 1 John 3 verses 1-2
Your name is written on His hand
'See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;' Isaiah 49 verse 16
God has great plans for you
‘However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him’ 1 Corinthians 2 verse 9
Your life will be full
‘The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.’ John 10 verse 10
You have nothing to fear
'So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.' Isaiah 41 verse 10
You have nothing to be worried about
‘Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.’ Philippians 4 verse 6 -7
God in you is greater than anything else
'You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.' 1 John 4 verse 4
