Our remembrance prayer
Father God we remember the lives lost in fighting
We remember the friends, the loved ones
We remember the fathers and mothers
The brothers and sisters who died at war.
Father God we remember the price they paid
We remember the lives they gave for our freedom
We remember the choices they made
The difficulties they faced as they went to war.
Father God we pray for those today who are at war
We pray for the Middle East, for Africa
We pray your kingdom come, your will be done
Bring peace to our worlds communities.
Father God we pray for the leaders of our world
We pray for the new men and woman of responsibility
We pray for wisdom and vision, love and patience
Let peace overcome anger and care overcome fighting.
Father God we pray for our selves
We pray that in our lives we will be peace makers
We pray that we will follow your ways not our ways
Let our lives be an example of Jesus.
Let us now stand in silence for 2 minute
And remember those who have been lost at war.
