Bless launches in style On a sunny afternoon in September 2007 Bless Community Church is launched. With 100's of people taking part in our big party the day was a great success. With teams setting up from 9am the party kicked off at 1pm in style with Brazilian tunes floating through the air. Hundreds of burgers and hot dogs were enjoyed as well as roasted lamb, vegetarian dishes, cream teas and loads more. Children jumped and adults jived throughout the whole afternoon. Paul Dixon and the Lost Boys rounded up the music with a thumping set of indie rock. Meanwhile people stood back in awe at what had to be the largest cake in London (well on that day) was cut up and passed around. Punters were also treated to a free photo session and many took away a high quality print ready for the mantle piece at home. So why the big celebration? Well we wanted to mark the official start of Bless by showing the community what church can be like and we wanted to bless people and give them a great time.
