Helping the homeless in the Borough of Ealing
Bless are really happy to support the Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter. Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter (ECWNS) is run by an ecumenical coalition of churches within the London Borough of Ealing.
It provides emergency dormitory style accommodation for up to twelve guests who are sleeping on the streets, are at immediate risk of rough sleeping locally and the 'hidden homeless'. The shelter will be open from January 2012 – March 2012
On each night of the week, whilst the shelter is open, a different church opens its doors to our guests, providing a hot meal, somewhere to sleep, breakfast and above all else, companionship and friendship.
A team of volunteers made up of a venue coordinator, team leaders and general Volunteers, staffs each church venue. The Coordinator is responsible for preparing the venue, creating the volunteer rota and it is their responsibility to liaise with the project coordinator.
