We are excited that we have just started our first CAP Money Course. This three week course is designed to help us all take control of our money – however little or much we have and whether we are in debt or not.
In just three, two hour sessions the course shows us how to budget effectively, manage our money through different accounts and use cash for weekly expenditure so that we get a real sense of how much we are spending and can stay in control. Course leaders Val and Hazel used the system before starting the first course. They have both found that it has helped them to control how much they spend each week.
One of the great things about the course is that it gives access to CAPMoney resources. CAP stands for Christians Against Poverty. They have an interactive website with a budgeting tool and other helps for course participants. More importantly they can have online, phone or email access to the Bradford CAP Centre Advisors if they are finding it difficult to budget.
For those who have serious debt problems CAP also provides a counselling and support service – and no, you don’t have to pay or be a Christian to benefit from this service!
